Folgers Survivor Product Placement

I’m watching Survivor on my Tivo this evening and swear I hear Jeff say ‘Folger’s coffee’ – but he only said it once. I know that Burnett’s style is to provide massive ROI for the client – so I was curious why Jeff kept saying ‘Home Cafe’ — the winners of the challenge will get their own ‘Home Cafe’. Hmmmmm … I decided to do something I normally don’t do — slow down and watch the commericals. BOOM — wouldn’t you know it — 1st commerical is for the ‘Home Cafe’ — another sign that Burnett is at the top of his game by coordination ad sales with integration. I’d have to say that I enjoyed this placement over the Pringles from a previous episode. Not only did the ‘coffee house’ set up make sense, but integrating it with the letters from home gave it that ‘local’ coffee shop feeling. To top it off, Amy, whose occupation is listed as ‘Coffee Barista’ was serving the java. Best part for the client (Folgers) …. their tribe won the next challenge.
