Branded Entertainment VOD to yield $100 per Household

Published on February 18, 2007 by   ·   No Comments

CBS is prediction $100 per household from the VOD market which could be worth $5 billion a year to TV networks … and that’s not including the $$$ from Branded Entertertainment programs or traditional advertising. CBS came up with this huge number as follows: – 50 million homes with VOD – average household would pay $100/year 50 million X $100 = 5 BILLION Now once VOD gets running, the networks will have ‘real’ numbers on the number of viewers. They will know EXACTLY how many times a specific episode of Lost is purchased and potentially how many times it is watched! From a product integration perspective .. this is huge!
