Branded Entertainment Trump Style

Published on February 20, 2007 by   ·   No Comments

Trump continues his ratings trend of the year as Apprentice hits a new low as one team looks like they walked out of a Star Wars convention. What dressing up in this crazy gear has to do with making it as Trump’s Apprentice … I have no idea??? Obviously .. viewers agree with me as Apprentice and the new Martha Stewart Apprentice are having difficulty gaining ground. What does this mean for the brands who spent a reported $3 – $5 Million per episode? Besides having your ego elevated by being on camera with ‘The Donald’ and being asked an incredibly dumb and obviously scripted question .. that’s about it. Since the show has fully integrated brands into every episode, the audience has declined sharply and so has the ROI to brands. At $5 million for 1 show, it would take significant sales to justify that expense … but they keep doing it!
