Pontiac Hopes For A Soltise Outcome Amid Burnett’s Ratings Decline Pontiac is running a promotion asking consumers to find “Survivor” alumns driving around the country in Pontiac Torrents. Should we be excited about this??? With last season’s Soltise promotion, a website and instructions on how to order the first 1,000 of the sports cars were provided. The results?

  • 1,000 cars sold in 41 minutes
  • Traffic to Pontiac.com during the program rose by 1,400%

For the Torrent – Pontiac has run 15-second spots at the end of each episode to encourage consumers to find a ‘former survivor’ driving a Torrent. The results so far on those spots:

  • To date, 18,000 entries
  • 350,000 page views for the Torrent web site

I know what you are saying …. if Survivor is generating close to 20 million viewers .. and this 15 second spot is well featured .. why only 18,000 sign ups — i mean .. this is for a FREE CAR!!! Not to worry … Pontiac has a HUGE promo planned for next week’s episode .. let’s see what that does for these dismal results.
