Joe Simpson Product Placement Denial

Published on March 22, 2007 by   ·   No Comments

Joe Simpson has reportly offered a celebrity magazine product placement in a movie for which he is serving as Producer for the price of $10,000. Simpson has denied such allegations. “Blonde Ambition”, which began filming November 28, stars daughter Jessica Simpson and is about a young woman’s unconventional, comedic journey up the corporate ladder while finding love along the way. The placement reportly being offered was a scene where Jessica’s character would be reading a magazine. As the producer of the film, one of Mr. Simpson’s job’s would be to find additional funding via product placement. The only aspect to typical placement deal was that these ‘sources’ were told to make the check directly out to Joe Simpson. With recent ‘scandles’ in the product placement/branding world (think Burnett/Madison Road and Julie Roehm), it would seem highly unlikely that Joe Simpson would be asking for checks to be made out to him directly. But this is Hollywood.
