Court TV Turns Over A New Leaf As TRU TV

Published on July 15, 2007 by   ·   No Comments

Court TV will undergo a complex and thorough overhauling as the name, format, look and logo change to better suit viewer demands. The new name of the station will be TRU TV and will feature a six-hour long trial segment every weekday morning, followed by Star Jones’ hour-long talk show at 3pm.

Primetime, as well as the very early and late time slots, will consist of old favorites from the Court TV brand. These series include Forensic Files, Haunting evidence and Speeders. Due to viewer research, TRU TV is also working on four new shows. None of the following titles are definite yet:

Neighbors 911 – battling neighbors work with a former Green Beret, Myke Hawke to settle their differences.
Ski Patrol ? a series to profile individuals whose jobs expose them to extreme outdoor conditions.
Black Gold ? a show that intends to accompany oil "wildcatters" as they search for remaining oil reserves in Texas.
Outlaw Chasers ? in reality a collection of specials that will feature a duo of storm chasers as the follow tornados through the Midwest in the hopes of filming one from the inside.
