Transformers 2 Product Placement

Published on September 4, 2008 by   ·   No Comments

Transformers 2 Product PlacementThe first film grossed over $1 billion during the first 2 days of release. Makes you wonder if the sequel can top that off? Many companies are betting that they will. It has been reported that Transformers 2 will be backed by Wal-Mart and YouTube. Not to mention other notable companies, like Nike.

The most exciting topic will be the cars. Will they stick to General Motors? The first movie was criticized as a movie/commercial about GM cars. Transformers 1 had product placements of the Camaro, the Pontiac Solstice, the Hummer, as well as a host of other GM trucks and SUVs.

Michael
Bay, the producer of the film, has set a tentative release date for the second installment, 26 June 2009.
