Cosmo Branded Entertainment with Fun Fearless Female

Cosmopolitan the womens lifestyle magazine recently launched the Fun Fearless Female promo, which was a contest to find female musical talent. Cosmopolitan, together with YouTube, extended this promo with StarLaunch.

StarLaunch invites aspiring musicians to upload their musical audition videos on YouTube. The winners will be voted by industry vets and music fans. Apart from a $10,000 cash prize, the winner will also share the stage with pop singers Natasha Bedingfield and Solange Knowles.   

As reported in Mediaweek, the program helped Cosmo land as sponsors CoverGirl, Pantene, and, for the first time, Nikon, a client that represents a category the title has sought to grow.
