ESPN Bebo Branded Partnership

Published on September 11, 2008 by   ·   No Comments

ESPN recently signed a partnership with newly formed social networking site Bebo. The deal will bring short-form sports video highlights for Bebos

US market.

ESPN will make game highlights from major sporting events available for streaming. These videos will be played using an ESPN-branded video player that will be embedded in the site.

In a related report, Matt Murphy the senior VP of ESPNs digital video distribution, said that Syndicating our content with them allows us to offer new benefits to fans and advertisers – giving fans more access to our content and giving our advertisers access to a broader audience.

Bebo debuted in 2005 as a social network for internet users in selected countries, including the
US,
Canada,

Ireland, etc.

If you havent noticed, the present trend is the shift from television to the internet. In the past few months, we have seen TV shows move from the studio to the information super highway (Like family guy). Why? Because it offers a young market that has unlimited potential.

Kudos to ESPN and Bebo.
