Home Run Inn Pizza Partners With YouTube For Branded Entertainment

Home Run Inn Video ChallengeChicago-based pizza maker Home Run Inn Pizza has signed a deal with video host YouTube to create a branded promotion.

The promotion will be a video contest, which will take the theme of Halloween. The Home Run Inn Video Challenge allows consumers to upload a two-minute horror short on YouTube. The entries must integrate Home Run Inn Pizza in the plot.

A panel of judges will select five finalists. The winner will receive $2,500 in cash, plus some cool Halloween decorations. In addition to that, Home Run Inn Pizza will help the winner host a pizza party for Halloween.

Home Run Inn Pizza, which prides itself as the number one frozen pizza seller in

Chicago, is expecting a sales increase in the month of October. The increase is expected, not only because of the contest, but also because October is National Pizza Month.

In an interview, Home Run Inn director of marketing Gina Bolger said, We wanted to do something to get our customers involved during our favorite season. Using YouTube is a great way to make it easy for everyone to be creative.

If you think about it, online contests are a great way to reduce advertising costs for companies. All they have to do is provide the venue and new marketing ideas will come en masse.
