Turner Broadcasting announces new product placement partners

Published on October 11, 2008 by   ·   No Comments

Turner Broadcasting, which is a Time Warner company, recently announced the first batch of product placement partners for the TVinContext system. This system matches products to related scenes in movies on TNT and TBS. The network will be seeing product placements from OnStar, DirecTV, Cadillac, and Victoria?s Secret.

Unlike traditional product placements, TVinContext will see product placements that are directly related to what?s happening on screen. The Turner executives believe that viewers are more likely to watch and remember relevant content.

While the system was created last May, Turner only this week announced its first partners. TVinContext ads will be making its debut on October 25 during the showing of ?The Bourne Supremacy.? After the movie?s signature car chase scene, Turner will broadcast an ad spot from OnStar?s automatic crash response service.
