TNT to debut Lincoln MKS branded entertainment

Published on October 21, 2008 by   ·   No Comments

TNT will be debuting the new micro-series titled RPM, which stars Jonathan Schaech, Lori Heuring, and Brian White. Behind the camera, is not just a director, but also a host of brands who own a stake in the series. This branded entertainment series is helmed by Ford, followed by Mandalay Television, as well as other TNT advertising partners.

Ford has invested the most in RPM. As a result, the Lincoln MKS will be having numerous product placements throughout the series. Main character (Schaech) is a detective who drives the Ford model to track down suspects. But the product placements aren?t going to be subtle.

RPM will double as a commercial for the Lincoln MKS, as its features and specifications will be integrated into the plot. A primary example is the car?s navigational system, which will be used by the main character to find his way through the city. Did I mention it?s voice activated?

The Lincoln MKS boasts state-of-the-art design, and all its glory will be showcased in RPM. As asserted by the Lincoln communications manager, Thomais Zaremba, ?When we were designing this car, we wanted technology that has a function.?

While the Lincoln has made many TV and film appearances, most notably in the Oscar-winning film Crash, the car has never been a part of ground-up integration. Zaremba says, ?We?re like a third member of the cast.?
