AOL and General Motors team up to create auto channel

Published on October 28, 2008 by   ·   No Comments

AOL has signed an agreement with General Motors (GM) to create a channel targeted at small entrepreneurs who are struggling with auto-related expenditures.

The new channel has features and tools for entrepreneurs seeking auto loans and lower fuel rate options. Among the first headlines are ?Deducing Car Expenses? and ?Maximize Your Office on Wheels?. Plus, the channel has Mapquest?s gas price tool, which allows consumers to find the best gas prices in a given geographical area.

The site also has forums where entrepreneurs can share information about auto-related problems and auto-related topics. This tool is powered by Yedda?a question and answer platform that AOL acquired last year.

While the site is under AOL Money & Finance, GMC is listed as a presenting sponsor. GMC will also have traditional banner ads in the site interface.
