Mercedes Benz to launch new website

Renowned auto manufacturer Mercedes Benz (MB) is planning to launch site, in an effort to target the older demographic.

Previously, the company launched generationbenz.com?a site that targets the Y-centric community. MB VP of marketing Steve Cannon claims that the site is efficient and useful. In fact, he believes that it will replace some focus groups, particularly those that discuss broader issues.

The site was launched six months ago to target the 19-32 age demographic. ?In marketing, you have to stay relevant. Certainly some brands are more challenged than others in staying relevant and vital to this new audience,? Cannon commented. ?[Generation Benz] is allowing us to gather data and get to know our customers in a deeper and richer way.?

Cannon concludes, ?Here we have a generation that actually likes their parents and would definitely drive what their parents drove.?

This lays the foundation for MB?s next site, which will aim at the older demographic.
