Fox goes airborne

Fox has recently signed a deal that allows them to provide content for Airline TV.

Beginning November, passengers on Continental, Frontier, and JetBlue will be watching a five-minute spot of Fox branded entertainment. This partnership was established last year through the deals between IdeaCast, Live TV, and Airline TV. The spots are predicted to reach over 33 million passengers by the end of 2009 and as much as 57 million by the end of 2010.

IdeaCast, which has exclusive rights to sell video ads and branded content on the airline network, has sold more than half of its available ad space.

?We are excited to have Fox as our first broadcast content provider on Airline TV’s shared in-flight channel,? commented Jason Brown, president of sales and marketing for IdeaCast.
