Double Fusion locks ingame advertisements

Published on December 3, 2008 by   ·   No Comments

In-game advertising vendor Double Fusion has secured deals with an extensive list of several publishers to produce games for the Sony Playstation 3 console. The San Francisco-based company has signed deals with THQ, Sega, Eidos, and Midway to sell advertisements for numerous games on the PS3.

Double Fusion is part of a pioneer industry that sells dynamic advertisements within games. These ads appear during live play, and can be changed long after the titles have been developed and sold.

Previously, the Sony was hesitant to let advertisers through the door. But given the PS3?s mainstream audience, it is an area that the game developers should consider. Apart from adding more real-feel to games, ads are a great way to earn extra revenue for the developers.
