Massive Inc. partners with Activision and Blizzard for ingame advertisements

Massive Inc.?Microsoft?s in-game adverting subsidiary?has signed a pair of multi-year advertising deals with Activision and Blizzard Entertainment.

The deal with Activision allows Massive Inc. to integrate live ad placements in 18 titles, including Guitar Hero and James Bond: Quantum of Solace. The agreement opens ads for selected gaming consoles, particularly: Xbox and PC. To date, Activision has integrated over 330 ad campaigns for 225 in-game advertisers.

On the other hand, the arrangement with Blizzard Entertainment makes Massive Inc. the exclusive ad developer for Blizzard?s game sites (for multi-player online games). Blizzard Entertainment has developed a host of renowned PC games, including Starcraft, Diablo, and most recently the World of Warcraft.

Apart from inking these big deals, Massive Inc. has also promoted a new head?J.J. Richards. Previously, Richards was the GM for Xbox Live.
