TNT?s ?The Closer? will go to weekend syndication on Fox Television Station in the fall of 2010, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution and Fox announced today.

The series stars Kyra Sedgwick as Deputy Police Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, who investigates high-profile murder cases in Los Angeles.

Kevin Werner?president of Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution?is more than happy with the acquisition. ??The Closer? is the No. 1 original series on ad-supported cable ever. It is a tremendous show with broad audience appeal that promises to be an incredibly strong performer for stations on the weekends,? Werner said.

?Our stations have benefited from running high-profile hours in blocks across key time periods. Adding ?The Closer? to our lineups will only further this success,? Frank Cicha, senior VP of programming with Fox Television Stations, said in a press statement.

?The Closer? is produced by Shephard/Robin Co. in conjunction with Warner Bros.
