Purina Branded Entertainment

Published on December 20, 2008 by   ·   No Comments

The new film ?Marley & Me,? a film about a dog that opens on Christmas day, is the first major branded entertainment venture of Purina. The movie comes from 20th Century Fox and stars Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson.

In one scene, Marley tips over a big bag of Puppy chow and steps all over the bag?s contents. But product placement is just one area of the deal, which also includes integrations and communications for brands. There is even a promotion contest where pet owners can have videos of their dogs included on the ?Marley & Me? DVD, which is slated for release next spring. Other parts of the deal include Chow-branded Marley calendars and holiday accessories.
