CollegeClickTV.com, a website that allows prospective college students to take virtual tours of various colleges, will be making its first national TV appearance with a $500,000 cable investment that debuts on February 23.
The Web site will run a primetime telecast on ESPN and three notable cable news networks, including Fox News Channel, CNN, and CNBC. The spots, voiced by President Barrack Obama, will be running for the next 10 weeks.
The three ad spots were created by The Pere Partnership, a New York agency founded by CollegeClick CEO Glenn Pere.
In one of the spots, the American President advises students that a college degree is one of the best investments an American can make. The narration goes, ?There?s a million-dollar difference between the lifetime earnings of somebody who got a high school education and a college education,? Obama says. ?Stick with it. Because the costs of not staying in school and not keeping your grades up are so much greater.?
CollegeClickTV.com offers videos of 176 universities across the country. These videos provide valuable insights, such as tuition fee estimates and extra-curricular activities.
?This is an extraordinarily difficult time in all of our lives, with seemingly surreal and painful circumstances,? said the company CEO. ?We feel it is more important than ever before for the youth of this country to not only get a college education, but make sure they pick the right college.?
