LifeLock Product Placement on Celebrity Apprentice

The upcoming new season of ?Celebrity Apprentice? will feature several celebrities, such as TV host Joan Rivers and comedian Tom Green. Plus, the reality series will have several product placements, including a product integration with LifeLock.

The Mark Burnett-produced show will have the same rules and regulations as ?The Apprentice.? Each week, one of the contestants is fired by ?The Donald,? depending on individually assessed performance. The stars will use their business skills, their contacts, and their fame to perform well during weekly challenges.

The challenges rely heavily on product placement. One of the participating sponsors this year is LifeLock, a midsize company that has worked with The Apprentice producers before (Season 2).

?In order for the celebrities to do a good job with the product, they had to figure out how to use it,? said Andrew Wyant, LifeLock?s VP of marketing, in a related interview. ?That lets watchers engage in a way they wouldn’t if they were watching a commercial.?

He continued, ?We approached Mark Burnett Productions directly. They’re extraordinarily good at Reality TV, so they’re approached with a tremendous number of companies, often big ones. But they also realize it’s much more important that it makes for good television, so they pay attention to small and midsize businesses and not just those who can write big checks.?

The LifeLock product placement will air on April 12. Apart from LifeLock, numerous corporate names and companies are also expected to make appearances on the series.
