Last week, Microsoft unveiled a handful of online series concepts during the company?s annual digital showcase held at Le Parker Meridien Hotel in New York. Microsoft?s company sales executives regaled potential buyers, emphasizing that the software company?s present campaign will center on Web video.

?We?ve made an investment in premium content centered around video,? said Rick Song, senior director, Eastern U.S. sales, Microsoft Advertising. Song boasts that the company has already produced 50 original Web series, including branded entertainment and original productions.

For this year, Microsoft is working with several titles, including: Foley Guys, Cinemash, and an untitled office comedy that stars Dave Foley.

Microsoft is now scouting for advertisers in these shows. The distribution is wide open, as executives say that the online concepts could find their way to MSN, Xbox Live, Zune, as well as other online platforms.
