Mad Men product placements

The award-winning show ?Mad Men? has many product placements of corporate logos and other consumer products. The show kicked off its third season last Sunday on American Movie Classics.

The plot makes it easier for producers to insert organic natural product placements, because the series? central setting is an ad agency. The main challenge for the producers was not to make outdated product placements, because the show is set in the early 60s.

During the debut, London Fog and Stolichnaya had a product placement. Affiliated persons from the company said that PR reps worked with producers to get the product placement. However, they could not confirm whether the product placement was paid for.

As reported in CorporateLogo.com: ?Andrey Skurikhin, a partner at SPI Group, which owns the Stoli brand, said the company didn’t pay for placement but did offer the bottle? packaged to fit with 1963?to be used on the show when AMC contacted him.?

In its previous seasons, Mad Men had paid product placements from many brands, including Utz and Cadillac.
