Versus Technology, LLC Announces the Launch of Fan vs. Fan

Published on September 10, 2009 by   ·   No Comments

Versus Technology announced today the launch of its flagship multimedia property FanVsFan (www.FanVsFan.com), a website which breaks down the traditional barriers of fan journalism by
offering a multimedia news and branded entertainment platform that promises lively sports debate, blog aggregation, vertical ad network and a traveling show all in the context of a game that transcends the on-line and off-line worlds. The announcement was made by Scott Stephens, Founder and CEO of FanVsFan and its parent company Versus Technology.

"FanVsFan connects brands with fans in a fun, interactive and competitive manner which is what sports is all about," says Stephens of his brainchild which creates blog to blog rivalry and allows fans, bloggers and athletes to write articles and debate sports via their webcam. Top debate challenges and their FanCasters may be selected for a "FanBowl" where one can win sponsored
prizes including a trip on the Ultimate Tailgate Machine (UTM). The FanVsFan platform is a true collaboration between Madison Avenue, Hollywood, Silicon Valley and the wired global public.

On the Ultimate Tailgate Machine (UTM) top rated bloggers and fans will broadcast live from the game like "College Game Day". The site also has a "Hot Topic" sports debate show akin to ESPN’s "Pardon The Interruption" yet instead of professional sports analysts debating each other, fans and bloggers do the debating. The top rated debates are called FanBowls and are combined with a professional host. FanBowls appear on the FanVsFan "Hot Topic" debate show where brands make a cameo as the coveted prize. The FanVsFan sports page is filled with breaking articles from top blogs and fan journalists who compete against one another to get their articles on the front page of FanVsFan.

One does not need a sports blog to get in the game, only an opinion and the desire to win. Those who have a top sports blog can join the FanVsFan Vertical Ad Network to earn more money, drive traffic and receive branding support from industry veterans.

"Our philosophy is to choose blogs that have promise as a brand and support their efforts by making them valued content partners for FanVsFan," says Stephens. "We represent the blogs to the entertainment industry, brands and provide national coverage and promotional opportunities for their talents. There is an amazing amount of talent coming out of the blogosphere especially as it matures and broadcasting technology becomes less expensive. FanVsFan is positioned as the vehicle to promote and consolidate this talent."
