Renault and Electronic Arts have signed a deal that will allow The Sims 3 players to integrate Renault?s electronic vehicles into the game.

The new product placement deal includes the Renault Twizy Z.E. xoncept car. The vehicle will be downloadable by users with a Sims 3 Electric Vehicle Pack (EVP), which also offers other items like solar panels and windmills.

The auto manufacturer says that the EVP will have a positive effect in the household expenses.

?Electric vehicles are additionally going to appeal to younger, more socially conscious prospects and especially early adopters,? commented Stephen Norman, SVP global marketing for the Renault Group. ?This is the heartland of The Sims 3 community and it thus provides a great innovative way to build the Renault Bband just ahead of the Renault range of affordable electric vehicles themselves.?

?This partnership delivers benefits for Renault and the consumer that are unique in today?s media landscape,? explained Elizabeth Harz, senior vice president of global media sales for EA. ?Millions of The Sims 3 players of are able to download Renault concept vehicles and have a deep experience with the brand, while receiving genuine added gameplay value.?
