Toyota has signed a deal with TBS to sponsor one of the network’s new comedy shows, “Are We There Yet?”

The Toyota Highlander will have product placements in the series, and will be the family car of the characters in the show. The SUV’s features will also be woven into the story lines of the show.

The deal involved Turner, ACE Media, and Burrell Communications, Toyota’s multi-cultural agency.

The series is based on a 2005 film that starred Ice Cube. The role of the father will be played by Terry Crews and his wife will be played by Essence Atkins.

In one episode, Nick (Crews) shops for an SUV and is attracted by the Toyota Highlander’s superb features. However, his loan application is denied and it becomes a communication topic for the couple. In the end, Nick will get his hands on the prized SUV.
