Mercedes Benz product placement in Inception
Published on July 20, 2010 by David Castillo · 1 Comment
Mercedes Benz appeared in this weekend?s number one box office hit, Inception.
The auto manufacturer showcased its Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) and Maybach. These appearances follow a product placement in last month?s Sex and the City 2.
In 2009, the film appeared in five box office number ones and in 75 top-grossing films since 2001.
While Nolan?s film took place in an urban setting, it avoided blatant product placements. It was not a brand-littered reality, which really makes him more unique as a director.
