In Sydney, Jagermeister will be sponsoring the Independent Music Awards and the Independent Music Charts as a part of a branded entertainment deal.

The show will be aired on XYZ Networks’ Channel V, radio station Nova, and MySpace as Jagermeister?s Independent Music Awards and the weekly Jagermeister Independent Music Charts program.

Mixitup, a branded entertainment company, brokered the deal.

?Jagermeister has a long history of alignment with popular and new music, both overseas and in Australia,? explained Jonathan Howells, Jagermeister?s brand manager. ?The independent music partnership is a very natural fit for us and we’re excited about the plans we have to build this strategic alliance over the coming years.?

The liquor brand is no stranger to these types of branded content arrangements. In the United States (US), Jagermeister supports more than 140 bands across the country. And it regularly works with MTV Networks to sponsor music events.
