Cadillac has a product placement in Chinese communist propaganda film

Published on September 23, 2010 by   ·   No Comments

Cadillac, the American auto manufacturer, will be the chief business partner of a movie about the Chinese Communist Party.

The film will be titled either ?The Birth of a Party? or ?The Great Achievement of Founding the Party.? It centers on the origins and the development of the Communist party in China.

Cadillac announced its sponsorship deal with the movie through its Shanghai website earlier this month. The auto manufacturer said that it will use the movie to promote its SLS wheelbase.

The move will definitely spur negative reactions from some US consumers as the idea of an American company getting involved with a communist propaganda film could be seen as controversial.

Of course, this can be seen as an exaggerated reaction.
