After more than 70 years of branded entertainment productions, Proctor & Gamble is now investing in online social networks to market its products.

The Pharmaceutical company is now on social networks like Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook. According to sources, the online campaign is part of an effort to reach a new age of connectivity.

In previous years, P&G backed soap operas to get its name out in the market?particularly for the female demographic. While these campaigns are effective, they are also very expensive.

These days, the internet is an essential part of a marketing campaign. And P&G is no different from other companies. In fact, the company has started offering Pampers on Facebook, selling feminine products through an iPhone app, and social marketing for Old Spice.
