Product Placement goes Spanish

Published on August 31, 2011 by   ·   No Comments

Spanish telenovelas are scoring big in product placement.

In fact, two major television networks are investing in Spanish soaps for product integrations. Both Telemundo and Univision are getting plenty of bids for product placements in their telenovelas.

And these deals are being forged at a consistent basis. These product placement campaigns are becoming more and more sophisticated. Nowadays, they combine various platforms to engage the consumer better.

One of the most impressive campaigns can be watched on Telemundo’s “Mi Corazón Insiste.” It involved a cliffhanger that directed viewers to a Website, which contained exclusive content sponsored by JPMorgan Chase.

In the site, fans see parallel storylines of original content. These storylines assemble a mini web series.
