Dodge is investing in product placement.
Most recently, audiences saw Ryan Reynolds drive a 1971 Dodge Challenger in “Green Lantern.” It is also featured in the trailer of his next film, “R.I.P.D.”
The Challenger has been the centerpiece of the automaker’s product placement campaign. However, its appearances with Reynolds have been purely coincidental, according to the company.
In an interview with Variety, Dodge said that they consider several factors when picking a movie to work with. The automaker considers the script, the storyline, and even the casting.
Through the past years, Dodge has established a strong relationship with Universal. The automaker worked with the studio in “Fast and Furious,” a big hit.
The brand is always looking for more opportunities to engage their consumers, and present themselves as an American brand that stands for American values.
