EBay gives you a chance to buy movie or TV product placements

Published on November 25, 2011 by   ·   No Comments

EBay has added a major update to its iPad app, which allows consumers to order items seen on television shows. The app is a perfect partner to a TV guide and offers instant results for product placements on TV shows.

EBay’s app now has an auto-search function, which allows it to search for related products to the television show that a consumer is currently watching.

The app synchronizes itself with TV guide data when the consumer informs it of what he/she is watching. You’ll get a chance to buy everything from product placements to special edition DVDs.

EBay is relying on the help of movie studios to fill in the brand names of their featured films, allowing the app to search for basically anything that appeared in the movie.

The app offers a great opportunity for companies to improve sales and increase exposure. Movie and TV product placements will not only end in exposure, but possibly in sales. Now, that’s taking product placement to a whole, new level.
