Renowned actress Zooey Deschanel is turning to branded entertainment.
Deschanel, along with her friends Sophia Rossi and Molly McAleer have signed on as creative consultants for The Single Life, a web
series centered on online dating. The web show debuted last year behind a sponsorship from Dentyne.
The trio of Deschanel, Rossi, and McAleer founded HelloGiggles.com, an entertainment division aimed at the female demographic.
As a result of the trio’s involvement, The Single Life will now be based on HelloGiggles.com and it will be syndicated to an ad network composed of 2,600 websites aimed at the 18-34 years old female demographic. In addition to these changes, Deschanel and her
colleagues will also give their inputs to reinvigorate the show.
According to sources, the upcoming season will build on the characters and situations that were established in the first season.
