While lyrical product integration is something we often see in hip-hop songs, it’s rare to see mainstream pop artists do this—even more so if we’re talking about Madonna. It seems that everyone’s a shrewd businessman these days.
In the song, the Nicki Minaj raps: “We material girls, ain’t nobody hotter, fox collar/See I really can’t relate to your Volvo, and you can’t get these shoes at Aldo.”
While no formal statements have been made regarding the product placements, Madonna’s upcoming shoe line will be produced by Aldo. The connections make the lyrical mention suspicious.
