Ocado delivers shopping to the Big Brother house

[Press release] — Northern & Shell and Endemol have struck a product placement partnership with Ocado for the online grocery brand to become Big Brother’s shopping partner across summer 2013. The partnership deal launches with Big Brother Thursday 13th June 9pm and continues into Celebrity Big Brother later into the year.

In a first for the show, housemates will be able to order their shopping via a tablet through Ocado’s online store, and Ocado own brand goods will be present throughout the house as part of the weekly shop.

Jason Gissing, Ocado Co-Founder said: “We launched Ocado in 2000, the same year that Big Brother first hit our screens and we’ve delivered over 35 million orders since, as more and more people join the internet revolution and make the life changing move to online grocery shopping at ocado.com. Housemates being able to order their weekly shop with just a few taps on an iPad will highlight the benefits of Ocado’s superior service to more people than ever before.”

Agostino Di Falco, N&S Partnerships Director said:  “Shopping is an integral part of the Big Brother experience. We’re delighted that the first instalment of our partnership with Ocado sees them delivering groceries to the house.”
